You may not use this service for unlawful purposes or activities. That includes selling, buying, or arranging the exchange of illegal goods or services, and it includes certain regulated goods and services as well.
This rule is about trade, and about real harm done in the world outside this service. In some cases we work with law enforcement, including where we believe there is a risk of physical harm or a threat to public safety.
Nothing is screened before it is posted. No software looks for any of this, and nobody reads through the accounts of people nobody has reported, so a report is how this reaches us. A person reads every report, and we review reports within 24 hours of receiving them. Content we find in breach is removed, and we act on the account that posted it.
Offering, asking for, or arranging any of the following through this service:
Instructions somebody could follow for making a weapon are prohibited on their own, whether or not anything is being traded.
This rule is about trading. Writing about your own life is a different thing, and it is allowed. You may write about drugs you took and drugs you sold, a weapon you kept, a crime you committed, the day you were arrested, the years you spent inside, the money you lost, and what all of it cost the people who are going to read it. You may say plainly what you did. Much of what is written here is written by people who are running out of time to say it, and nothing in this policy asks you to leave that part out.
What separates the two is something a person reading a report can see for themselves: an offer, a request, a price, a place to meet, a way to get in touch, or instructions somebody could follow. An account of what you did has none of those in it.
If you were the one taken in, defrauded, or trafficked, that is your own history and it belongs to you. You may set it down here in full.
Any user with a Goodbye App account has the ability to report potential violations of this policy.
In-app and Desktop
You can report content for review in-app and desktop as follows:
Content that breaks this policy is removed. An account that uses false account details to promote the sale of illegal or regulated goods or services is suspended. If you break this policy your account may be suspended as well, and that can happen on the first report a person reads. Every one of those decisions is made by a person reading the account, not by an automated system.
